I am an award-winning journalist covering travel, food, wine, design, culture, and lifestyle. I’ve written feature articles, hotel reviews, profiles, round-ups and reported stories for a variety of publications. I’m an active member of SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), and privileged to call New York City home.
My journey to becoming a freelance writer began with a blog. That was a decade ago. Since then, I’ve been published in The Telegraph, amNewYork, WestJet Magazine, Barron’s Penta, RESIDE Magazine, Travelmag, Mansion Global, and other outlets. Here, find examples of magazine and newspaper articles.
Beyond journalism, I create lifestyle and travel content for companies of all sizes, striving to communicate their brand message and grow their online presence.
I’m the co-author of New York: 48 Hours, published by National Geographic. I curated restaurants, nightlife, and shops in this New York City guidebook.

Travel is one of my greatest passions. My adventures have taken me wine tasting in Piemonte, Italy, hiking the Swiss and Austrian Alps, feasting on delicious food in San Sebastian, exploring a tiny Mayan village in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, and dune bashing in the Empty Quarter of Abu Dhabi.
Destinations I’d return to again and again include Palm Springs (been there three times), Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Montreal (visited twice), Ireland, Costa Rica, Spain’s Basque Country, and of course, Paris (also, three trips).
My favorite city in the world will always be New York, my adopted hometown, and the place I’ve loved since I was a child. In my own backyard, I’ve explored New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ, the Finger Lakes Region, Cape Cod, the North Fork of Long Island, Sag Harbor, the Hudson Valley, and other spots only a drive from NYC.
I dabble in photography, especially while traveling. My photos have been featured in The New York Post, AAA, Barron’s Penta, Travelmag, WestJet Magazine, amNewYork, The Drop, and others.
I shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1, a Canon PowerShot G5 X, and an iPhone.
Photos are all about timing (and great light). I shot this picture from a lookout point high above Tamarindo in Costa Rica. It had to be one of the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. You’re seeing that moment just before the sun begins to pass below the horizon. The stark silhouettes caught my eye––a group of strangers sharing a moment.
